I went to visit Deb and new baby Wesley at the hospital yesterday. Deb handed him to me so I could hold him. Babies are such a miracle.

My feet are on the Rock and my name is on the Roll
Rita on the bumper boats. I was in one, too.
Wendell on the bumper cars. He was a real "trouble maker" as he tried to bump both Rita and me.
Joanna with Kevin Martin's little boy at the picnic. I think he was sleepy rather than not liking Joanna. I could have taken a lot more pics, but "restrained" my self.
Even the big "kids" like the Grandma cookies that I take for the 4th and our Christmas get together. I never have any left over!
This is Joel and Mandy's Garin. He is one year old now and certainly not undernourished!
Rita, Annaliese, Julie, Judy with her back turned. The green Tupperware bowl is what is always full of my cookies when I get there, and empty when I come home.
Joel with his big boy, Garin
Kerby and Wendell enjoying the time together. Mark and Julie in the background.
Sam and Wendell having a chat. Anna at the folding table. Deb in the background.
Kerby and Anna probably discussing Anna's new career.
Judy and Chuck. Judy was talking to someone not on the pic.
Some of Judy's stickie buns. They are a necessity at every Yoder get together. She always makes some plain, some with nuts, some with raisins, and some with nuts and raisins. They are always a "hit".
John, Andrea, and I played a game of Parcheesi. It was so long since I had played, that we had to read the rules. It was a close game.
Kaelyn Geesaman ( Joel & Mandy) and Aubree Yoder (Erik & Deb). They were so cute together.
This is Ethan Yoder, Nathan & Krista's son. The little Yoder kids are Sam and Julie's grandchildren. Of course the little Geesaman children are Toot & Rod's grandchildren.
Mr. & Mrs. John W. Yoder II ( John and Andrea)
Joel and Kaelyn also Erik and Mindy. I missed the pictures of the three Geesaman boys rough housing. I believe I missed taking a picture of Matt. Cherie didn't come. She had worked the last two nights ( a nurse) and needed her rest.
Mindy getting a ride on her Daddy's (Erik) back.
Aubree and Kaelyn enjoyed chasing the chickens, catching and carrying them around. This is Kaelyn with her "catch"
Here are my "contractors" putting a new roof on my house. Erik and Sam had put a new one on Erik's house last summer and since Erik is a school teacher he enjoys doing other work in the summer for extra income. Erik took charge ordering and heading up the work. They came early in the morning, took a break in mid afternoon and then worked until almost dark. They started on Monday and finished the roof on Wednesday. Erik had three other workers helping him. He and Deb's brother came back Thursday morning for clean up.
The tarp at the back of the house to catch the mess
I get thrilled every year when my clematis blooms. It is always so full of blooms. Every spring I cut it down to the ground and that has all grown since spring.
Yes, it's that time again. I have made two batches of jelly, but had to but some at the auction. They are so expensive. The berries for one batch of jelly cost $24.00 and then the sugar and jars, am I crazy or what? I hardly ever use any myself- I just give it away. I will have to make at least another batch or two.
Wendell was asked to fill in with his banjo at the folk festival. The guy that usually plays with the group couldn't get off work. Wendell played with the group three shows a day, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Rita asked if I wanted to go along, so I did.
Here is Wendell doing a song and playing. The audience seemed to enjoy it.
Rita and I went to the quilt barn after the first show. I would have liked to take a lot of pics. The one at the top is a true Berks County pattern. They were all beautiful. Some prettier than others according to my eyes. I would hate to be a judge.
There were lots of food stands. This one was waffles and ice cream- if you can read the PA Dutch on the stand.
I decided to walk around when there were some other performers. This lady was telling the story of the various patches on this quilt and how they were used to guide the slaves on the underground railroad. All quilt designs have names. As the slaves were traveling north various quilts were hung out to let the slaves know if it was safe. Wendell had gone for the morning show. Rita picked me up after 11 and we watched both shows.
