Easter 2009

Garin is such a happy baby. I enjoyed holding him. Joel and Mandy are the parents.
This was Kaelyn's "reward" to me for being on the floor and playing with her.

I had the priviledge of rolling cars for our playtime. Kaelyn the little "Texan" loves barefeet.
Garin is heavy. I think he weighs 28 pounds at 10 months.

Joel and Mandy decided to celebrate Garin's first birthday, because he would be in Texas when he really turned one. Here he is enjoying his birthday cake.
Kaelyn loved watching her little brother's messy cake eating. Joel was home on leave, but after going back to his fort in Texas, he will be transferred to Kentucky in about a month, I think.

Me and Kaelyn again. The party was on Saturday at Mandy's parents house in Quarryville.

Me, Toot, and Kaelyn. I think Garin is almost as heavy as his sister.

This picture was taken Easter Sunday at Joel's other grandparents, Ray and Gloria Geesaman of Quarryville. We were all there for dinner. Also Rod's two sisters and families.

Spring has sprung, I think!

These are the "nameless" flowers! I couldn't wait when the first flower opened. Now they are really showing off.
My blue- purple (?) hyacinths. They smell so good- if they are outdoors. If I have hyacinths in the house, they give me a headache.
My pink hyacinths. There are still some that haven't opened. They are either white or yellow.
My grape hyacinths. Some people call them "bluebells" Does any one out there want some of these bulbs? They multiply and I end up throwing some of them away.

My spring gold

Here are the first of my daffodils. They are so cheerful. As usual, I have to get some pansies. These were from my favorite place to buy plants- the Longs at the end of Tilden Road. It is real handy stop there on my way home from work.

Here I have them planted along my front walk. I pulled out the dead things that were there over winter. I think I could have gotten a few more pansies. I always forget how many I got the year before.

I don't know the name of this early flower. It is the first one that has opened up. There are a lot more buds. It looks so dainty.
