I traveled to Big Valley Saturday evening. This is my brother Chuck (Charles) and wife Lomie. They live in Michigan and I usually only see them about once a year.
Aunt Sis invited us to her house for Sunday dinner. Here are the three siblings, me, Chuck, and Aunt Sis.

This is Chuck & Lomie's youngest daughter and family Sharon & Greg Kanagy. Greg is a grandson of Erie Renno. Greg was ordained and served at Locust Grove in various capacities. Youth leader, later visitation minister etc. Greg and Sharon are moving to Florida where they will be directors at Gator Camp- for troubled teen boys. They had worked a similar work in South Carolina before moving back to Big Valley Their two daughters are Hope and Katie. Katie was named for her great grandmother- my mother.
I drove home Monday morning, mowed my lawn, cleaned up and went to Laurel with Betty to do our "entertainment" for the guests there. When I came home, I worked outside. Phyllis & Andy came bringing our evening meal from Panera Bread. Then we went outside to work. Andy mulched around two maple trees, my dogwood, another maple in the front yard and my peony tree.
Phyllis and I weeded flowers along the walk at front and mulched them. I kneel on a cushion, because the bricks are too hard.
Phyllis really did work. See her gloves? But she wanted her picture taken at the one rose bush. You know a rose with other roses.
The food! Ricky did chicken on the grille. They brought the food to the dining room table, we filled our plates and went outside to eat. Grace had a butterfly painted on her face.
In the back yard. The kids were trying to break the Pinata. They just couldn't break it, so finally Amy "clobbered" it and the candy poured out.
Here Amy is helping Joanna open her gifts. Chase was able to do his himself. Amy had "animal" hats for the kids- elephants, alligators etc. Chase has his on in the picture.
Naomi and Joanna were so cute, but when I wanted to take their picture, Naomi decided she WOULD NOT look at the camera. There are some kind of streaks on her face too, from the face painting.
Here is Gracie on their horse which Grandpa Lindsay had gotten them several weeks ago. Christian did burgers and hot dogs on the grill and we all enjoyed the picnic indoors. In the afternoon we were outside and it was such a nice day. It was warm with a breeze going. Just a real relaxing afternoon. It only takes 1 hour and 7 minutes to get to their house, but I really have to watch- there are so many turns and up hill and down, but I did it. I had a great time. The Lindsays were there also Andy and Phyllis for the birthday picnic.
