My feet are on the Rock and my name is on the Roll
Trouble!! I wanted all my Labor Day week end pics on one post and it isn't working for me. This is a pic of Matt at the Hamburger-er Festival eating one of the thousands of burgers that were made that day.
After the Hamburger Festival I went to Toot's. Hadn't seen these 2 for a couple years.
Good time. We introduced Miranda to Greedy on Sunday. She found out just how greedy and crazy we can be.
Monday, Labor Day, we enjoyed chicken'n pickin at Wendell's. This is the "Haiti" quartet who will be going there early Friday morning for a week. It is Wendell, Brian Spohn, Mary Buerer (Pastor's wife) and Christian Leinbach.
This is Jeff Sunday, Karen Nagle, and her dad, Bobby Leimaster, part of the Stoney Mountain Gang.
This is so funny. My Uncle Dan's three sons always line themselves up according to age. Their wives say they do it all the time when they are together. See Joe, Marlin, and Danny. Danny is the oldest. Some of the others in the picture are they kids and in laws. The one who is sitting across from his Dad is Stanley, Danny son who never married.
At the other end of the big circle were the wives, Danny's wife, Lois in the red with white around the neck. Marlin's daughter Amy (in blue top) and her daughter with the gray top. Marlin's daughter in law in the pink top.
Every year they want a cousins picture. You see Aunt Sis, beside her Joe, then Marlin, then Danny and me. Those three brothers seated themselves by age again! In the back are Jay and Glen. They were the sons of my Uncle Jakie, my Daddy's youngest brother. They had a brother Lloyd who was second in age but he dies several years ago. He had Alzeimers. This year Lloyd's one son and his wife were there. I don't think they were ever there before.
We had to have a duplicate, so here it is. I'm sorry I didn't get a picture of Jenny, Coleton, and Daane. Miles was a "week end warrior" this week end, but he came home at the end of our picnic. I really don't know some of the children or grandchildren. I went around and talked to find out who they were, but I'm sure I will have to ask them next year again!
On July 25, up by alarm, ate my oatmeal, picked up Martha and headed for Rising Sun. Martha went to her sister Erma and I went on to Toot & Rod. We went to their new church, Joel, Mandy & kids also Matt, Cherie and Noah met us at church. Then to Rod & Toot, ate and took pics. This was me with Garin, Noah, Gidian, and Kaelyn.
Garin, Gidian and Kaelyn are Joel & Mndy's childre. Noah is Matt & Cherie's little one.
More of the great grandkids. It was hard to get them all to pose!
Joel & Mandy's Kaelyn, Gidian, and Garin. They certainly aren't undernourished!
This is Gidian. Remember when he was on everybody's prayer list when he was first born? He looks very healthy now.
I love holding these babies. It won't be long until they don't want to be held.
Here I am with Noah. He obviously isn't concerned about posing for the camera.
This is Garin and Noah. Kaelyn has her back turned!
I realize, I didn't take pics of the parents. Mostly just the babies! Joel, Matt, and Cherie are in the background watching their little ones
The company (Wexcon,Inc) picnic at Knoebels. This is John and Andrea with Andrea's mother
I am enjoying a delicious ice cream sundae. They make them big!
Wendell also enjoying his sundae. The picnic was catered in one of the pavilions. I was too busy eating, to take any pix of the company gang.
I did get this pic of Joanna. Ricky and Amy came while we were eating ice cream. Wendell and I took a ride on the bumper cars. I gave him my camera before we started, thinking he would take a picture of me in the car. After the ride he gave me the camera. I said "Did you get a pic?" He said , "No, I thought you just wanted me to hold on to it". Dah!!
I took this pic, just to show how nice and shady it is at Knoebel's. A real family park.
The next week end we sang and played at Christine's house. She had a picnic in her back yard and invited us to sing. She had family as well as some of her church friends and neighbors. I got one of the church ladies to take these pix. She wasn't sure she knew how to do it, but she did OK.
Another pic of the band. Me, Wendell, Laura Rentschler, Christine Moyer, and Rita.
She had set up chairs for the audience.
Everyone had taken food. Christine had chicken, barbecue, hot dogs and cold drinks. I had taken deviled eggs and there were so many desserts, salads, watermelon, cantelope. Like a picnic, more food than you can taste! I had made 28 deviled eggs (14 eggs) There were others who also brought them. I had nothing but my empty containers to bring home.
